Advance Surveying and field work_P. G. B. Sc.
Surveying has a very long tradition and history. It has
started from the basic and now it is at the advance level. It is also is known as a
modern survey. It involves modern techniques in the surveying process. It
increases accuracy and reduces the time of the survey. Total Station, GPS, DGPS,
UAV is an important instrument of the advance surveying. In the present scenario,
these instruments are popular for the surveying process. It is useful in
government, private and corporate sector as well. In today’s world, it has a huge
scope, opportunities and challenges as well for the users.

Digital Image Procesing : Theory
Imaging systems, particularly those onboard satellites, provide a repetitive and consistent view of the earth that has been used in many remote sensing applications such as urban growth, deforestation and crop monitoring, weather prediction, land use mapping, land cover mapping and so on. For each application, it is necessary to develop a specific methodology to extract information from the image data. To develop a methodology it is necessary to identify a procedure based on image processing techniques that is more adequate to the problem solution.

Advance Surveying and Field Work
Advanced Surveying is unimaginable without the use of electronic equipment and information technology. Surveying with a conventional method has been completely changed with advanced automated systems. Advanced Surveying, Total Station, DGPS, UAV, GIS and Remote Sensing provide a thorough working knowledge of these technologies.
Fundamentals of Population and Settlement Geography
This course is multidisciplinary in nature and will help to students coming from different background as a bridge course. In this course academician, Student, research scholar can learn the human interaction with surroundings, the size, growth and distribution, history of human evolution, different models and theories which elaborating cons and pros, policies.
Settlement is one of the most concrete expressions of human interaction with soundings. There types, size, density, pattern, and shape. Models and Theories.

Applied Climatology and Agro-Meteorology: Practical
This course gives an overview of the application of climatic studies in the planning, design, and operation of irrigation projects. It also includes exercises on comfort indices, architectural analysis as well as identification of heat waves and cold waves.

Research Methodology
This presentation will help the students to improve their scientific academic writing.

GG 252: Statistical Methods in Geography
Statistical Methods in Geography is a systematic introduction to the essential techniques that all students must understand to complete a module in statistical analysis. It is a basic statistics course that introduces the students to spatial data analysis.

Coastal Geomorphology: Practical
The course is designed to make aware the students about the coastal field studies.
This will help the students to learn about wave and tide analysis, beach profiles, surveying on the coasts, sediment analysis and human activities in coastal areas.

Gg 253: Remote Sensing: Concepts and Methods (B2)
This course is introductory course on remote sensing technology. It deals with basic concepts of remote sensing. It talks about the energy used in remote sensing and also about the application of different sections of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum
