This course deals with basic concepts in embryology such as Gametogenesis, Fertilization, Axis specification, patterns of development, Proterostome and deuterostome development with suitable examples, Neural Induction in frog and chick and regeneration , metamorphosis in amphibians, Arabidopsis as a plant development model.

Biosystematics, Biodiversity and Evolution

The course is a four-credit course consisting of three aspects; biosystematics and biodiversity, Animal Behaviour, and Evolution 

Biosystematics and Biodiversity  part deals with tools and techniques used in studying the diversity of fauna  

Animal behaviour deals with different aspects of animals behaviour, including the neural basis of animal behaviour

Evolution part deals with different aspects of evolutionary biology
