Education is an integral part of society. It not only lays the foundation of society, but at the same time, it is shaped by the society itself. Education instituions are deeply embedded in the social system. Education and Society influence eachother and have a potential impact over Nation as a whole.
In this subject we try to understand how the dynamics of society works within an educational institution and what are the factors that influence the system of education.

MAE403 Multicultural Education
Multicultural Education is an idea, an educational reform movement, and a process whose major goal is to change the structure of educational institutions so that all students, who are members of diverse racial, ethnic, language, and cultural groups will have an equal chance to achieve academically in school. It is necessary to conceptualize the school as a social system in order to implement multicultural education successfully.
This course focus on-Historical Development, Concept & Nature of Diversity. Indian context of Multicultural Education & International reform movement. As well as Culture, Class and Gender issues and School Reform. globalization Interaction and Multicultural curriculum and pedagogy
