This  course has been designed for the UPSC Civil Services aspirants appearing for MAINS Examination with Geography as an Optional Subject

Syllabus: 

Denudation chronology; Channel morphology; Erosion surfaces; Slope development ; Applied Geomorphology : Geohydrology, economic geology and environment.

Objectives: 

  • To augment knowledge of the students on advance geomorphology for UPSC CSE.
  • To enable students develop conceptual clarity on denudation chronology and channel morphology. 

Learning Outcome:

  • Students will be able to tackle the questions (subjective) pertaining to advance geomorphology effectively.

UPSC Civil Services Training Programme

The course is focused on training aspirants for civil services examinations conducted by the UPSC, such as IAS, IFS, IPS  and other Group A and B Central services. The objective of the programme/ course is to provide training in order to equip students with information, analysis, organization, articulation and other skills that help students to prepare for such competitive examinations at the national level and succeed,  with focus on quality of material and training/ coaching, drawing on a resource pool of University teachers and experts from outside.  The duration of the course is eleven (11) months (July- May) that spaces training for Prelims, mains and Interview. 

There are three batches for UPSC programmes in an academic year at the Competitive Examinations Centre- 

1. UGC- UPSC (intake capacity: 52)

2. TRTI- UPSC  (Intake capacity:  25)

3. PMC- UPSC (Intake capacity:  75)
